Rear boxes in the test

IMTEST describes itself as the "consumer portal for Germany" and is part of the Funke Media Group. The BackBox was rated "GOOD" in the comparative test.

In a comparative test, IMTEST intensively tested four different rear box models and evaluated them in terms of handling, volume, weight and price. It was particularly emphasized that the BackBox is well-organized, robust and easy to handle. The exchangeable side inserts for widening for ski transportation make the box unique. As a result, the BackBox from mft came out on top across the board against the competition from Thule, Westfalia and Narauto.

Bei uns im Garten gibt es diese eine Ecke, wo alle kleinen Gartengeräte gesammelt werden und eben auch all die Dinge, von denen man nicht weiß wohin. As part of the ‘Drive to Help’ aid project, four cars were equipped with a BackBox or a BackPack. On 19 March 2017, the cars set off on a four-week journey covering almost 7,000 km from Germany through seven countries on two continents to Gambia.
