Drive to Help e.V. – On the road for a good cause with our rear box
Maximum storage space on a big mission: The association Drive to Help e.V. combines a spirit of adventure with social commitment and organises aid transports to Gambia. To ensure that as many medicines, medical devices, clothes and toys as possible reach their destination safely, the convoy of vehicles was equipped with our tried-and-tested rear box for towbars – the mft BackBox – and the BackPack.
On 19 March 2017, the convoy set off from Waldkirch in Breisgau on its 7,500 km journey to Gambia. Two days earlier, Niklas Neuffer visited our factory outlet in Ilshofen with a colleague from Drive to Help e.V. We equipped four of the convoy’s cars with a BackBox or a BackPack so that they could carry even more medicines, medical equipment, clothing and toys.
The route takes them across southern Europe to Morocco, through the Sahara, Mauritania and Senegal to Banjul, the capital of Gambia. Along the way, the travellers want to bring moments of joy to people with gifts they have brought with them. However, their actual destination is the ASB Health Clinic in Banjul, which is run by a small, independent aid organisation from Germany and can only survive in the long term through donations.
We are proud to be part of this extraordinary project with our luggage boxes for towbars as a reliable transport solution and wish them a safe journey!
